Welcome to MyFluentFox. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the MyFluentFox website, applications, and services (the "Service") provided by MyFluentFox ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of the Service

MyFluentFox is a language learning reading companion. The Service can generate short readings, provide word and phrase help, save vocabulary for review, track known words, provide narration and pronunciation audio, and allow users to share readings to a Community Library.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, including beta, free, or premium features.

2. User Accounts

To access most features, you must register for an account. Account registration is handled through Microsoft Entra External ID. You agree to provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

MyFluentFox is not directed at children under 16. If you are under 16, you must not use the Service or create an account.

During invite-only launch periods, joining the waitlist does not create an account, reserve a subscription, guarantee access, or bypass any invitation or eligibility checks we use for production access.

3. AI Generated Content

MyFluentFox uses AI systems to generate readings, translations, explanations, and correction attempts. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your exact situation. You should treat AI-generated reading help as learning support, not as guaranteed translation, professional advice, or authoritative instruction.

You are responsible for reviewing generated content before relying on it. If a translation or explanation looks wrong, use the available correction controls or avoid relying on that result.

4. Community Library Sharing

Generated readings are private unless you choose to share them. When you share a reading to the Community Library, it becomes public to other learners using MyFluentFox and may be opened by users learning the same language and level.

You agree not to share readings or topics that are unlawful, abusive, hateful, infringing, or that include personal information you do not want other learners to see. We may remove shared readings, restrict sharing, or suspend access if content is harmful, unlawful, abusive, or inconsistent with these Terms.

5. Vocabulary, Progress, and Narration

Vocabulary counts, known-word tracking, saved-word queues, completion status, and pronunciation audio are learning aids. They do not certify fluency, mastery, or exam readiness. Narration and pronunciation features are intended to help with listening and pronunciation practice, but may not reflect every accent, dialect, or pronunciation variant.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Abuse, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to bypass limits or security controls.
  • Use the Service to generate, share, or distribute unlawful, harmful, abusive, or infringing content.
  • Submit sensitive personal information about yourself or others into reading topics or shared readings.
  • Interfere with other users' access to the Service.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

The Service includes free features and may include paid premium features. The current premium subscription is billed monthly at £3 per month. The price shown at checkout includes tax where applicable.

Paid subscriptions are handled through Stripe-hosted Checkout, Link, Stripe Managed Payments, and the Stripe Customer Portal. MyFluentFox does not directly collect or store your full payment card details. Stripe may act as merchant of record where applicable.

You can manage or cancel your subscription from Account → Manage billing. If you cancel, your paid access continues until the end of the current billing period and then returns to the free plan. Failed, incomplete, disputed, or unpaid payments may pause, reduce, or remove paid access.

Refunds are reviewed manually. Contact support if you believe you were charged in error, charged twice, or could not access the paid service after payment. We may ask for account and billing details needed to investigate the request.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information related to accounts, generated readings, saved vocabulary, known-word tracking, AI processing, narration, and Community Library sharing.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users through the Service or other appropriate channels.
