Cookie Policy
Last Updated: October 5, 2026
MyFluentFox Ltd uses cookies and browser storage to support sign-in and site functionality and remember the choices described below. Read this notice with our Privacy Policy.
Cookies and browser storage we use
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Local storage is a separate browser store that does not automatically expire when you close a tab. These are the technologies currently used by MyFluentFox:
- Sign-in session: NextAuth's
next-auth.session-token(with a__Secure-prefix on HTTPS, and possible numbered chunks) maintains the encrypted application session. The configured session lifetime is 30 days and can be renewed while using the service; this is separate from Microsoft access-token expiry. Signing out clears the Fox session. - Sign-in security and return location:
next-auth.csrf-token(__Host-on HTTPS) andnext-auth.callback-url(__Secure-on HTTPS) support sign-in protection and returning to the site. They have no explicit expiry and are session cookies; browser session-restore settings may retain them. - Temporary sign-in checks:
next-auth.stateandnext-auth.pkce.code_verifier(__Secure-on HTTPS) secure the Microsoft sign-in flow. They expire after 15 minutes or are cleared when the sign-in check completes. - Banner acknowledgement:
myfluentfox_banner_ackedremembers when you select Acknowledge, for 365 days. This dismisses the information banner; it is not consent to analytics or marketing tracking. - Reader guidance preference: local-storage key
myfluentfox.reader.phrase-guidance.v1stores onlyacknowledgedafter you dismiss or use phrase-selection guidance. It has no application-set expiry and remains until you clear the site's browser storage. It is not an account identifier.
Microsoft sets its own cookies on its sign-in domains. Stripe may set cookies or use similar technologies on its hosted checkout, Link (where offered) and Customer Portal for payments, authentication, security and fraud prevention. Their technologies and durations are governed by their own notices:
Analytics and diagnostics
MyFluentFox does not currently use browser advertising or analytics tracking cookies or a browser analytics SDK. Our Azure hosting and backend services still process diagnostic and security information, as described in the Privacy Policy. Acknowledging the banner does not disable those necessary service logs.
If we introduce optional tracking that requires consent, we will explain it and ask before using it.
Managing browser storage
You can use your browser settings to inspect, block or delete cookies and clear this site's local storage. Blocking sign-in cookies can prevent login or interrupt the service. Clearing the banner cookie or reader-guidance preference makes the relevant notice appear again. Deleting an account does not clear storage on your device; sign out and clear the site's browser data if you want to remove it. This does not promise to end Microsoft or Stripe sessions on their domains.
Updates and contact
We may update this notice when the technologies we use change. The date above shows the latest update. For questions, contact MyFluentFox Ltd at privacy@myfluentfox.com.
